Computers are an integral part of our lives. The term “computer” is derived from the Latin word ‘Computare’ which means to calculate and to calculate means to do mathematical or logical evaluations. Invention of the computer has made many dreams come true even we cannot imagine our lives without computer. A computer is a machine or device that performs processes, calculations and operations based on instructions provided by a software or hardware program. It is designed to execute applications and provides a variety of solutions by combining integrated hardware and software components. Charles Babbage is called the "Grand Father" of the computer. The First mechanical computer designed by Charles Babbage was called analytical engine. It uses read-only memory in the form of punch cards. A computer can process data, pictures, sound and graphics. They can solve highly complicated problems quickly and accurately. Computer is an electronic device having big memory which can save any data value. We are living in the advanced world of computer in the 21^st century. Computer technology is used to serve and connect people in the modern world. Desktops, laptops and mobile devices network the world together and perform multiple operations at once; however, this industry includes more than these machines. Individuals, communities, government and organizations rely on computer technology to produce or innovate the majority of things in their lives, such as food, services, entertainment, care, communication, education and transportation.

Computer has making human life faster because of its incredible speed, Accuracy and storage, with which human can save anything and search .It out easily when needed. We can say computer versatile machine because it is very flexible in performing their jobs. Today, many types of computers are used in our everyday life. In most parts of the world, it's impossible to use a product or service that doesn't utilize a computer. The most important aspect of computer science is problem solving, an essential skill for life. Students study the design, development and analysis of software and hardware used to solve problems in a variety of business, scientific and social contexts. Because computers solve problems to serve people, there is a significant human side to computer science as well. Computers play a significant role in handling all of the world's money. The importance of computer technology in the services industry is increasing. Computer technology includes any machines that receive commands and perform calculations or services accordingly. Currently, the classrooms, libraries etc are utilizing computers to make the education more interesting. In this modern world, the use of computers is growing day by day. Every organization whether small or big is using computer. For making excel sheets, website development, business promotion, meeting presentations, and many other. The organizations promote their products online with the use of computer. With the use of computers the organizations do their work very efficiently in shorter duration. It does not matter how small a business might be, a computer will be essential in that business, computers are used to accomplish different tasks in a business. Computers are used to provide efficient ways for employees to share information, but at the same time employees with malicious intentions can use this opportunity to hack into the system to access private business information for their personal gains. Sometimes employees or outsiders can modify computer programs to create false information or illegal transactions or install viruses to corrupt stored information. Computer is always fast and convenient means of transferring and sharing information, but people should be aware of its consequences as well. They should remember that often relying on this system can put them at certain risks that can be cause by its flaws and other malfunctions.
