computers of the future

Computers are an integral part of our lives. The term “computer” is derived from the Latin word ‘Computare’ which means to calculate and to calculate means to do mathematical or logical evaluations. Invention of the computer has made many dreams come true even we cannot imagine our lives without computer. A computer is a machine or device that performs processes, calculations and operations based on instructions provided by a software or hardware program. It is designed to execute applications and provides a variety of solutions by combining integrated hardware and software components. Charles Babbage is called the "Grand Father" of the computer. The First mechanical computer designed by Charles Babbage was called analytical engine. It uses read-only memory in the form of punch cards. A computer can process data, pictures, sound and graphics. They can solve highly complicated problems quickly and accurately. Computer is an electronic device having big memory which can save any data value. We are living in the advanced world of computer in the 21st century.
Earlier the functioning of the old generation computer was very limited but new generation computers are amazing with lots of functioning. The aim of computer invention was to create a machine which can perform very fast mathematical calculations. During the World War II it was used to locate and estimate the direction and speed of weapons of the enemies. Modern day computers are available with the artificial Intelligence technology to helps us in every sector of life. New generation computer are being highly advanced means smaller, lighter, speedier and more powerful. Now a day, it is running in almost all walks of life like weather forecasting, guidance of spacecraft, examinations, education, shopping, traffic control, high level programming, automation in banks, railway ticket booking, playing games, medical sector, machinery operations, job opening, business, crime detection etc. It is the backbone of the Information Technology including with the internet and proved that nothing is impossible today. One can save lots of time and effort by online shopping, paying bill, etc by being at home through the computer.
Unlike a mobile or laptop, a computer is not a single device it is a combination of various small devices that are called the parts or components of computer. All these are attached to the computer with wires and have special relevance. The whole human being is becoming highly dependent on the computer technology; no one can imagine life without computer. As, it has spread its wings so deeply in every area and made people used of it. It is very beneficial for the students of any class. They can use it to prepare their projects, learn poems, read different stories, download notes for exam preparations, collect large information within seconds, learn about painting, drawing, etc. It enhances the professional skills of the students and helps in getting job easily.  The uses of computer have multiplied over the years and its functioning has become smooth. The device has become quite user-friendly and almost anyone can operate it with basic knowledge. Computer can be used as a great educational tool. Students can have access to all sort of information on the internet. Some great websites like Wikipedia, Khan’s Academy, Code Academy, Byte-Notes provides free resources for students & professionals. Moreover, the computer is being used in every field of life such as medical, business, industry, airline and weather.
Modern computers are found everywhere: homes, offices, businesses, hospitals, and schools, to name a few. Contemporary society has become so dependent on computers that many people become frustrated and unable to function when computers are "down." Because of this dependence, computers are regarded as essential tools for everything from navigation to entertainment. Today's computers are smaller, faster, and cheaper than their predecessors. Some computers are the size of a deck of cards. Hand-held Personal Data Assistants and notebook computers or "ultra-lights" make users portable and give them the opportunity to work in a variety of places. These systems provide a wide range of connectivity and access to information on local, wide, and wireless networks.
Future computers promise to be even faster than today's computers and smaller than a deck of cards. Perhaps they will become the size of coins and offer "smart" or artificial intelligence features like expert intelligence, neural network pattern recognition features, or natural language capabilities. These capabilities will allow users to more conveniently interact with systems and efficiently process large amounts of information from a variety of sources: fax, e-mail, internet and telephone. Computers created within the next two decades could revolve around a technology in which laser beams converge inside crystals the size of sugar cubes, forming holographic images for processing huge amounts of information. Perhaps by the year 2020, computers will revolve around new types of optical processors. Future computers will be more human oriented, knowing how to track the users' behaviors and habits, thus better serving their individual needs.Already evident are some evolving cutting-edge applications for computer technology: wearable computers, DNA computers, virtual reality devices, quantum computers, and optical computers. A wearable is defined as a handless system with a data processor supported by a user's body rather than an external surface. The unit may have several components (camera, touch panel, screen, wrist-mounted keyboard, head-worn display, and so forth) that work together to bring technology to situational and environmental problems.  DNA-based computer would be radically different from a conventional computer. Instead of storing data on silicon chips, converting data to binary notation (0s and 1s), and performing computations on the binary digits, DNA computing would rely on data found in patterns of molecules in a synthetic DNA strand. Each strand represents one possible answer to the problem. A set of strands is manufactured so that all conceivable answers are included. To winnow out a solution, the DNA computer subjects all the strands simultaneously to a series of chemical reactions that imitate mathematical computations.
Knowledge about the use of computer is indeed essential these days. This is because most of the tasks today are carried out via these machines.  Different people use this device for different purposes. It has indeed changed the life of people for good.  computers  have their set of advantages and disadvantages just as everything else in this world. It is on us as to how we use it.

science fiction

Science fiction is a form of fiction that deals principally with the impact of actual or imagined science upon society or individuals. Science fiction is based on imagined future scientific or technological advances and major social or environmental changes, frequently portraying space or time travel and life on other planets. Science fiction permeates our world, culture and live. Everyday the fantastic is made fact by the technologies that continually reshape our understanding of all that we experience.   New discoveries are always around the corner, which is to say more than simply our context changes, for it changes in radically unanticipated ways. The deep meaningful questions, considered against this dynamic and modern backdrop, that all peoples have historically faced, circle around the subject of just what does it mean to be human. Beyond the humanistic and ethical thrust of this query, the genre of science fiction pushes against, scrambles up, and attempts to climb over
